Nutrifeed’s R&D department is involved in long term strategic research programmes in cooperation with feed multinationals and universities worldwide. The department consists of highly educated specialists that translate research programmes into effective new product concepts for young animals that offer added value to our customers. Nutrifeed also has access to FrieslandCampina R&D centres, which has extensive knowledge in high technology dairy-based solutions which benefits Nutrifeed and Nutrifeed’s customers.
All raw materials as well as end products are strictly controlled at our qualified laboratory.
Development and innovations
Campina produces fresh whey which serves as a superior ingredient for use in feed formulations. Nutrifeed has first access to the excellent de-mineralized and protein-rich whey streams from Campina. These are at nutrition the basis for all the young animal feed products that Nutrifeed manufactures.
Campina’s know-how within the dairy industry, including knowledge of hygiene issues, microbiological parameters, nutritional values and chemical aspects ensures that the whey used by Nutrifeed is consistently of high quality. Alongside this, Nutrifeed’s knowledge of spray-drying technology, emulsifiers and specific nutritional fat sources help in the development of new products as well as enabling innovations in fat-filled whey powder products.
